A serious injury to his left eye was suffered by Mr. T. Bentham, a shipwright, of 216 Sutherland Road, this morning. He was working on the funnel of the steamer Matangi, under overhaul at the Clyde Quay Wharf, when a screwdriver falling from above struck him in the eye. The Free Ambulance took him to .hospital.
