COURT'S DECISIONS
CHARGES OF TREACHERY
SOME HEAVY SENTENCES

LONDON, July 2.
Mrs. Iseult Gonne Stuart, who was arrested in May following the finding of an open parachute and other incriminating articles, in a house in County Dublin, was found, not guilty and discharged.
Mrs. Louisa Ingram, who was charged under the Official Secrets Act on. May 31, was found guilty of conspiring to contravene the defence regulations and committing an act with intent to assist the enemy. She was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment. She was found not guilty of conspiring to obtain blueprints
William Swift was found guilty of conspiracy, communicating with Mrs. Ingram, inciting a corporal in the Royal Tank Corps to join the Local Defence Volunteer Service in order to obtain arms for the protection of invaders, and endeavouring to cause disaffection in the King's services. He was sentenced to fourteen years' imprisonment.
Archibald Watts was found not guilty on all counts.
