WOODVILLE STOCK SALE.
A capacity yarding of cattle and light yardings of sheep and pigs were offered at the sale conducted in Woodville on Monday. The cattle yarding comprised mostly dairy sorts. Throughout the sale was keen, especially for fat cattle. A line of dairy cows, sold on account of M. Burgess, Takapau, averaged £12 a head. Cattle prices are: —Fat P.A. cows and heifers, £6 10s to £8 10s; fat ex-dairy cows, £5 to £8 ss; vealers, £2 10s to £2 18s 6d; runners, £3 to £4 7s 6d; 3*-year P.A. and Hereford bullocks, to £7 3s; July calvers, £9 10s to £14 10s; later calvers from the same herd, from £8 to £9 10s; other July and August calvers, £6 to £8 15s; springing Jersey heifers, £7 10s to £10; boner cows, £2 10s to £3 15s.
