Mr. George English, president of the union, interviewed regarding the statement by Mr. Frlser and Mr. Webb, said he had no comment to make.- "The umon£ he added, "is taking a firm stand and was never more proud of the miners. They are 100 per cent, solid." Mr. English does not think that the mines will be working tomorrow.
