GUBA AS BOMBER
REPORTED PURCHASE BY
BRITAIN
(Received July 2, 1.20 p.m.) SAN DIEGO (Calif.), July 1. Britain is reported to have purchased the flying-boat Guba for conversion for use as a long-range bomber. The Guba was chartered from its owner, Dr. Richard Archbold, to make the aerial survey of the Indian Ocean a year ago. Captain P. G. Taylor was the pilot on the survey flight.
