FRENCH TRANSPORT SEEKS REFUGE

LONDON, June 12.
The French transport Gouverneur General Lepine, carrying 700 Senegalese soldiers and civilians, is reported to have taken refuge at Alicante all day today to escape from a submarine. Later it left to. avoid being interned.
