BETTER FARMING PRACTICES
I An American agricultural chemical company has produced a motion picture entitled "The Soil," which tells the story of better farming and the part which fertiliser plays. With Lowell Thomas, noted American writer and speaker, as the commentator, views are given of farming in many regions of the country. The second part shows the production of fertiliser from the | mine to the market, and emphasises the i vastness and intricacy of the opera- j tions required to produce a bag of fertiliser. The final section shows the methods of applying fertiliser and the iresults obtained by its use. The picjture takes about one hour and fifteen minutes to present. '
