"A GOLD MINE"
SUCCESS OF APPEAL SHOP
Women belonging to the Order of St. John and the Red Cross Society in Wellington are finding their joint shop in Willis Street a great. success. Organised in order to help swell the funds for the combined sick and wounded distress fund appeal, it has so far been very well supported by the public, and is, in the words of a prominent worker for the appeal, "a veritable gold mine."
Goods of all descriptions are on sale at the shop, which is situated near Stewart Dawson's corner at the foot of Willis Street. Various organisations are taking turns in providing and selling wares, and today it ia being run by members of the staff of 2ZB. Tomorrow (Friday) the Commercial Travellers' Association has volunteered for service and members will be stationed outside as well ?s within the shop.
The continued support, of the public *« earnestly: solicited.
