RESISTANCE TO BE BROKEN
LONDON, May 10,
The German Foreign Office has summoned newspapermen for an important announcement from Herr yon Ribbentrop.
The Minister of Propaganda, Dr. Goebbels, broadcasting from Berlin, said that Germany was invading Belgium and Holland as "friends of the people." He added that any Belgian or Dutch resistance would be broken by all means.
NEW YORK, May 10.
Dr. Goebbels, in a broadcast, accused Belgium and Holland of "conniving in a plot to start a revolution in Germany, making hostile utterances against Germany in the Press and by persons prominent in public life."
