COUNTY ENGINEER
NEW POST RELINQUISHED

TAURANGA, May 10,
At a meeting of the Tauranga Council today, Mr. E. L. Robinson, the re-cently-appointed county engineer from Southland County, who commenced his duties on Monday last, tendered his resignation, stating that prior to leaving Invercargill he had received information from a source in Taurcvga which he was unable to divulge concerning conditions in the county. He had now decided to relinquish the position.
The matter was dealt with in committee and the resignation was accepted.
