"CAPPICADE."
From the way rehearsals have been going, this year's "Cappicade" promises to be the success that the students of Victoria College are aiming to make it. The songs are bright and tuneful, .dances snappy, and- settings colourful. There are two shows in the extravaganza, "You Can't Pick a Winner" and "Centennial Scandals." Both have the Centennial as their main theme, and are even fuller of fun than previous shows. The first show has the university's great tenor, Paul Taylor, as Captain Cook, and John Carrad has once more turned up trumps with lilting catchy songs, and with the "oomph" girls of the ballet to help him. "Centennial Scandals" is, as its name implies, a skit on the events in New Zealand's history. Early booking is at the D.I.C.
