S.P.C.A. PROCEDURE
_ A.statement has .beejn.jssued..b&J;he ladies' auxiliary of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to inform the public of its ambulance service in regard to animals injured in street accidents. Animals with collars are taken to a veterinary surgeon for immediate- attention, and every effort is made to find the owners, who will be required to pay expenses. Animals without collars —presumably strays—are taken to the Corporation yard for destruction. Young dogs, up to six months, which are unregistered, are taken to a veterinary surgeon, and come under the same rule as those with collars. The public are requested to inquire immediately for lost animals, as the ladies' auxiliary does all in its power to alleviate the sufferings of injured animals but does not undertake responsibility for any .loss;
