MILITARY WEDDING

(From "The Post's" Representative.) Lieutenant G. A. Gamman, of the i Forestry Company, Second Echelon, Second N.Z.E.F-, only son of Mrs. M. Gamman, of Wanganui, was married at Auckland on Monday evening to Mona,.only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Nicol. of Marlborough. The bride wore a smart powder blue en,semble with cuffs of grey fur and I grey picture hat. She was attended : by, Mrs. D. Milne, and Lieutenant G. Burgess, also of the Forestry Company, was best man. A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Grieg, at Epsom. Women's Institutes. '• There was a large attendance of delegates at the annual council meeting ■of the Wanganui Federation of Women's Institutes held last week, when hostesses , for the day were members of the Kaitoke and Mosston Institute. Officers elected for the year were:—President, Mrs. E. Williams (Westmere); committee, Mesdames Clemance (Makirikiri), Caldwell (Kaitoke),' Denman (Mosston), Staite (Maxwell), Lynch (Mosston), Owles (Kaitoke), Howard (Makirikiri), Gould (Aramoho), and Miss Smith (Westmere). Anzac Tea. . Representatives of most women's organisations have met and planned the usual afternoon tea given on Anzac Day to returned soldiers on parade. This year the tea is to be held in Victoria Hall instead of at the Drill Hall, and instead of each organisation' having its separate table, community tables will be arranged.
