NATIONAL PARTY
A credit balance resulting from in-creased-membership and financial support was reported to the. annual meeting of the Wellington South electorate of the New Zealand National Party on Thursday night. Mr. J. H. Mcllroy presided over a good attendance. Mr. D. P. Howlett was elected chairman of the committee, arid Mr. E. Brindle was appointed' secretary. A' message from the leader of the party (the Hon. A. Hamilton) impressed upon all members the necessity of doing their full share in thej war effort and of co-operating with the Government to the fullest extent in this direction. It was reported that many members of the party in the electorate were giv- | ing their services in various patriotic j movements
