TORY STREET FIRE
A fire in some wooden buildings in Tory Street on Saturday afternoon was quickly checked by the Fire Brigade. When the brigade arrived the fire had a good hold in an unoccupied block, 162 Tory Street, in which are three empty shops, but it was under control within five minutes. One shop was burned. out. The building was about to be demolished.
