She urged those present to do all they could to raise money in their own particular suburbs, and asked for suggestions for fund-raising efforts. FOR WOUNDED SOLDIERS. Since the committee began its activities in December a total of 178 parcels of medical comforts have been prepared, and a total of 115 parcels were delivered to the Red Cross Society on March 1 for use with the Second Echelon. Included in this latest collection were 24 operating gowns, 24 operating masks, 24 operating capes, 24 operating guards, 36 operating pads, 29 pairs stockings, 6 amputation pillows, 12 amputation pillow slips, 14 theatre sheets, 10 theatre guards, 10 theatre binde-s, 6 flannel binders, 10 pyjamas (suits), 10 bed jackets, 4 pairs mittens, 4 pairs cuffs, 12 parcels old linen, 15 old linen draw sheets, 4 parcels woollen pieces for foments, 60 knitted eye bandages, 2 hot water bags with covers, 10 hot water bag knitted covers, 80 dozen sterile surgical dressings, 328 sterile surgical 'swabs, 50 serviettes, 40 tray cloths, 8 tray covers (net), 20 net food covers, 250 milk jug covers, 4 lengths butter muslin, 1 parcel dusters, 80 ditty bags, 29 woollen scarves, 12 balaclavas, 55 pairs socks, 160 face cloths, 170 handkerchiefs, 2 parcels old linen for handkerchiefs, assorted material — linen, flannelette, and unbleached calico, and 400 assorted bandages.
