DIRT TRACK RACING
i Five motor-cycle races and \s6nie novelty events were watched by a-large' crowd at the Kilbirnie Stadium last night. The'track was not in- good- order-,- there pools -of -water in places, and consequently times were-- slow, but in spite of this some good performances were seen, notably those of E. Langford, L. J. Wilkinson, H. Tolley, and O. Torneal. Results:—First heat: G. V. Rodgers (A..1.5.), 1; A. Westbury (J.A.P.), 2. Time, 2min 6sec. Second heat: E. Langford (Rudge), 1; L. J. | Wilkinson (Rtidge), 2. Time, 2min 4 3-ssec. i Third heat: H. Tolley (J.A.P.), 1; G. Torneal (Rudge), 2. Time. 2min , 0 4-ssec. Seml-\ finals: Torneal, 1; Rodgers, 2., Time, 2mhr 4 3-ssec. Tolley, 1;; Langford,; 2.- Time. 2min 3sec. Final: Tolley, 1; Langfdrd, 2. A number of the novelty events on the programme were not performed on account of the wind and other reasons.
