NEED FOR IRRIGATION
(By Telegraph—Presa Association.) OAMARU, This Day. Stating that rape and tiirnip crops , - were ruined and that conditions were ■ almost desperate through lack of water in North Otago. Mr. A. C Hurst .. ; moved, at a meeting of the Farmers* < Union, that the union urge1 the Gov» ernment to implement its promise and , make a survey with a view to irrigation. Mr. Hurst said that with, irrigation there would be no need to send' away large numbers of store sheep. The union decided to write to the1 Government. \
