AMERICAN PLANES
NEGOTIATIONS SUSPENDED

LONDON, Friday Night. It is reported from New York that negotiations by the Allied purchasing mission for additional American war planes of an up-to-date type have been suspended. No reason is given, but it is believed to be in connection with the Congress inquiry into' the supply of planes which is to start next week.
Recently there has been some criticism in Congress and in the House of Representatives regarding the policy of permitting the export of the newer type of planes developed for the United States Army. Repeat orders for planes already released for export are not affected.
A San Francisco message states that the Norwegian , Government has ordered 24 naval bombers and spare parts to the value of £375,000:
