CANADIAN ELECTION
SOLDIERS START VOTING
LONDON, March 14,
Canadian soldiers in England started today to record their votes in the Dominion's general election.

Representative.) LONDON, February 23. Canadian troops in Britain will have from March 14 to March 23 in which to record their votes in the Dominion's General Election. Colonel J. T. C. Thompson, who has come to England to supervise the polling of the troops, has stated: "Only those men and women of Canada's own forces will receive ballot papers. It doesn't matter whether or not they have reached 21—a 16-year-old drummer-boy is entitled to vote." "Special arrangements are being made at Canada House, Trafalgar Square, to take the votes. During the elections of 1917 certain irregularities occurred in the taking ot the vote among the Canadian troops in France. This time an intricate watertight system will ensure correct procedure.
