Craik Henderson (Conservative), 23,882; Mr. Sydney Allen (British Union), a follower of the Fascist Sir Oswald Mosley, 772. The election was due to the resignation of Major Sir J. D. Birchall (Conservative) on account of ill health. Mr. Allen forfeits his deposit.
