ST. PATRICK'S CONCERT.
St. Patrick's concert, which is to be held in the Town Hall tonight, promises to be a musical attraction of an unusually high standard. The energetic promoters, in striving to maintain the high standai'd set by this event over the past forty years, have excelled themselves in the choice . of talent, both with local and visiting artists. Miss Teresa McEnroe, an old favourite at St. Patrick's concerts, will aypes;-; Mrs. L. J. Cronin, the !wa."l J>iv.»wn choral and operatic soloist, |v?ill afain be heard, and Mr. Ray Tre--1 v/ern. talented tenor, is also billed for a ! group of numbers. The committee has made arrangements to bring to Wellington Mr. J. Duffy, the popular Irish singer, of Greymouth. Another first appearance ! wilj be Mr Harry Tohill an artistic exponent of national dancing. Other assisting artists are Mrs Nettie Mackay. Misses Rosaleen Hickmott and Eva Higgins, and Messrs. Maxwell Fernie and Frank Maher. The choral items will be given by the massed choirs of the combined Marist Brothers' schools, a total of 500 voices. The box plan is at the D.I.C.
