PIGS AND POULTRY.

The Dominion Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, reports receiving large entries of both pigs and poultry at their weekly sale held on Thursday, a total clearance being made. Fruit and produce were in the usual supply. They quote the following prices:— ' Pigs.—Best weaners, 12s to 14s; small, .s to 10s; slips, 13s to 16s; stores, heavy 30s to 365, light 25s to 29s 6d; heavy porkers, £2 lls to £2 15s: light, 40s to 455.

Poultry.—Best W.L. hens, 5s to 6s per pair; light, 3s to 4s per pair; 8.0. hens, heavy 5s 6d to 6s per pair; cockerels, heavy 6s to 8s; medium 4s to ss; light Is 6d to 3s; ducks, old 3s to 4s 6d, young 6s to 7s; pullets, 4s to 6s. Produce. —Apples: Gravenstein dessert 8s to 10s. cooking 5s to 6s per bushel: Irish Peach, 8s to 12s; pears, W.B.C. 8s to 12s per %, case; peaches, dessert 5s to 9s per case, cooking 3s to 4s 6d per case; apricots, choice 10s to lls; others. 3s to 4s; plums, 3s to 5s 6d. cooking Is 6d to 3s per case; nectarines, 7s to 10s 6d; tomatoes, Bay View 3s to 4s Id case, h.h. 5d to 7d per lb; cucumbers. 2s 6d to 4s per case; raspberries, 7s 6d to 10s 6d per tin; black currants, 7s to 9s per case; cabbages, Is to 5s per bag; cauliflowers, 6s to 10s 6d per case/lettuce, 2s to 4s 6d per case; pumpkins. 9s to 10s 6d per sack: marrows.
