DEATH BY DROWNING

DUNEDIN, This Day.
The body of Donald lan Mclntyre, aged 22, a fitter at the Hillside Workshops, who was drowned while bathing at St. Clair on Tuesday, was recovered on the beach this morning.
When he fell backwards from a platform eight feet from the ground at Munt, Cottrell's stables in Tinakori Road at about 8.40 this morning, J. Munt. a carrier, of 9 Newcombe Crescent, injured his right elbow and right shoulder. He was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance.
