CHILDREN'S PARTY LEAVES

The large party of children from Northland who had, spent a glorious week at the Exhibition returned to their homes yesterday afternoon after a number of speeches of farewell had been delivered and gifts distributed to those associated with sponsoring the trip. In the morning the party was entertained at the factory of the Ford Motor Company of New Zealand, Ltd., at Petone, travelling both ways in twelve buses provided by the company. The children were very much impressed by the assembly processes in motor-building, and the model factory was admired by all.

Several prizes have been offered by various donors for' essays by the children upon their experiences during the trip. Prior to the departure, Mr. W. Jones, Mayor of Whangarei, addressed the children, and expressed for them the sincere thanks they wished to convey to all the people and firms who had helped to make the holiday the unqualified= success that it was.
