. The - Italian Line stated that 44. passengers and 60 seamen from the liner Orazio, which was destroyed by fire in the Mediterranean, have been given up as lost. There were 645 aboard and 541 were saved, a child later died of burns..

An 'investigation by the owner* shows that the fire was due entirely to a mechanical accident in the motor. The Orazio carried 1500 tons of cargo which shipping circles believe v/ill be a total loss, amounting ;to over £500,000. . . ' . -
