HERTZOG'S MOTION
SUPPORT BY DR. MALAN
(Received January 25, 1.50 p.m.) CAPE TOWN, January 24. "There is no other path but to end not only our participation in the war but our connection with Britain," said Dr. Malan, Leader of the Opposition, speaking in the debate on General Hertzog's motion. He" likened the Prime Minister, General Smuts, to Cecil Rhodes, and said that both had failed to use their opportunities to unite; the English and the Afrikanders.
