Rub out all side growths and keep the plants well supported. As soon as they are mature potatoes.should be dug. ; Plant celery and leeks in well-worked and manured ground. Both these crops require rich soil and plenty of moisture. Remove spent crops of peas, etc., arid dig over the ground in preparation for replanting. A dose of lime added to the dug ground and raked; in will improve the soil.
