RECRUITING PROGRESS
Recruiting for the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force has been proceeding steadily during the past; few days; and the Wellington and Hutt Valley total since the recruiting depots first opened in September is 3456, which includes 167 officers. Those recruits so far medically examined have, been classified as follows:—-Fit, 3155; temporarily unfit, 363; permanentlyunfit, 431; sent to camp, 1666; in reserved occupations and therefore not available, 94; balance available for posting to camp, 395.
On Friday 42 men enlisted at Buckle Street and on Saturday 22.
