FINLAND'S CAUSE
AMERICAN SYMPATHY

LONDON, Friday Night
In the United States today newspapers give prominence to expressions of sympathy for Finland's cause, -piscussing a probable American loan to Finland, the New York "Herald-Tri-bune" says: "Finland's state is important enough to this country to warrant our taking some risk on Finland's behalf." The paper added that the success of Finland against Russia was militating, against a RussianJapanese combination by reducing Russia's prestige.
