Combine and mix thoroughly 2 cups shredded cabbage, the white heart of a crisp cabbage, 1 cup shredded carrots, 4 cup (1 medium) chopped green pepper, 1-3 cup (12 slices) chopped fresh cucumber pickles, 1 tablespoon finely chopped minced onion, 1 teaspoon sugar, h tablespoon salt, and 4 tablespoons mayonnaise. Serve in cups of lettuce and arrange on a salad platter or on individual salad plates. Serves six.
