SCOTS FUNCTION.
A night with Burns, to take the form of a concert and dinner, will be held by the combined Scots societies of Wellington and Hutt Valley on January 25 in the Masonic Hall, The Terrace. The toast to the "Immortal Memory of Robert Burns" will be given by Mr. A. J. Sinclair of Te Awamutu. [A first-class musical programme, in which community songs will play a part, has been arranged. The haggis will be piped in with honours. There will be more than one on this historic occasion, the Centennial of the Dominion, in the foundation of which the Scots played a leading part. Accommodation is limited to the seating available for the dinner, and the issue of tickets, which may be obtained from J. R. Baird, 282 Lambton Quay, and Mr. D. Stratmore, 19 Tory Street, • has been limited accordingly. Club members are advised to get in touch with their secretaries, as no further reservations are possible. A special request is made for h display of tartan by the ladies, and for the men who have kilts to wear them,
