The wool offered at the second appraisement in Christchurch on January .8 realised the average price of 13.022 d a lb, or about £17 6s 3£d a bale. These figures are slightly higher than those for the appraisement held on December 7, when the price a lb; was 12.766 d and the bale price about £16 12s o£d. Full details of the appraisement released by the Christchurch Woolbrokers' Association, are as follows:— JANUARY 8.» Bales offered, 22,366. Weight, 7,136,9571b. Value, £387,255 7s 3d. Average price a lb, 13.022 d. Average bale price, £17 6s 3.472 d. DECEMBER, 7. Bales offered, 23,193. Weight, 7,239,0131b. Value, £385,063 0s 4d. Average price a lb, 12.766 d. .Average bale price, £16 12s 0.613 d.
