The Petone Defence Rifle Club fired a'com-. ; petition on their outdoor miniature range on ; Saturday over 50yds and 100 yds ranges. - The weather was overcast with light Ehowers'fdur- ■ ing the shooting at 100 yds and conditions, wer» v not easy. The best single range score at 50yds was made by WN H. Ballinger with- 98. Four others made 97 each. On the 100 yds M. : Gregory (a-hew -shot) and*-K- J:"Waterworth scored 98 each. The highesit totals off'th« rifle for the day were made by W. H. Balltaeer (193) and M.
