AUSTRALIAN UNIVERSITIES
The Australian Universities' Sports Association has selected a team of six tc come to New Zealand in March with the primary object of competing, at the New Zealand University athletic tournament in Christchurch. Consideration is. at present being given to the question of the team competing as well in other centres. , Those selected for the trip are D. B. Dunn (Sydney), the, well-known New South Wales sprinter; B. A; Curtin (Sydney), 440 yards in 49 4-ssec and 220 yards in 22 7-lOsec; W. Arrowsmith (Queensland). 440 yards, half-mile, and one mile ; who has done lmin 57.45 ec for the half-mile under poor conditions; G. L. Wilson (Queensland), inter-university 120 yards hurdles winner and also Empire Games representative; R. J. Heffernan (Melbourne), high jump. 6ft 3Jin, long jump 21ft 10Jin, javelin 155 ft, shot put 38ft, and discus 100 ft; G. C. Parkin (Melbourne), one mile 4min 27sec.
