NELSON, December 12.
A cricket match between Scots Col" lege third formers and Nelson Collega third formers and preparatory was commenced on the college ground today. Two outstanding performances were the innings of P. Mumm (Nelson), who scored 60, and the bowling by Phillips (Scots), who took eight wickets f0r.20 runs in 11 overs, five of which were maidens. The Nelson team's first innings produced 97 runs, Scots replying with 34. In the second innings Nelson had made 69 runs for six wickets when stumps were drawn.
