The Marine Department announces that a small mooring buoy lias been placed in position latitude 41deg 19min south, longitude 174deg almln east (apprqx.), 330deg 2000 ft from Steeple Rock Beacon, Port Nicholson, for the use of the examination steamer. The eha rt affected is No. 1423 and publications New Zealand Pilot, 1930, p. 98; New Zealand Nautical Almanac and Tide Tables, p. 239; 1940 edition, p. 238.
