WELLINGTON CLUB
The annual meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club was held on Monday night.
Messrs. V. J. Leek and J. H. Thomas passed tributes to the excellent and conscientious service the retiring president. Mr. E. A. Hornblow, had given the movement during his two years of office. Votes of thanks were also passed to the committee members and to Mr. A. Vogt for his activities in establishing an Esperanto Group at the Wellington Training College and in arranging for Esperanto tuition at the Model School, Kelburn. A motion of thanks to the Press for its co-operation during the year was passed unanimously. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. V. J. Leek, D.8.E.A.; vice-president, Mr. J. H. Thomas, D.8.E.A.; secretary, Mr. M. Carver; treasurer, Miss Pam Sanders; associate treasurer, Mr F. A. Bailey, D.8.E.A.; committee Miss B. Godier and Messrs. Bernfeld. S. C. Asquith, Riseborough, H. M. Sansum, and T. Colomb. ;
