AN APPEAL FOR THE CHILDREN.
Church of England Homes in tha Wellington diocese' care' for lome 250 children, ranging from .babies at St. Barnabas' Home, Khandallah,/to girl 3 of all ages at St. 'Mary's Homes,"Karori, and boys at Lower Hutt-and Masterton. Homes. There is. also AU-.Sain.ts-' Home at Palmerstori North,, taking, both girls and boys. Annual charges for this work exceed £7000, and almost £6000 must be found from sources other than maintenance fees.- To assist in the work a street, day on behalf of the homes, is being held, in Wellington tomorrow and an appeal is made to the public to give generously so. 'that those who are performing this valuable Christian social service may be supported and help to brighten the lives of the little ones at Christmas.
