D BATTERY

OLD COMRADES UNITE

With traditions inherited from the beginning of the New Zealand Volunteer movement 70 years ago a D Battery Old Members' Association was formed recently. The following officers were elected:—President, LieutenantColonel R. S. McQuarrie, D.5.0., M.C.. vice-presidents, Lieutenant-Colonel. G. Lyon, M.C., Major R. Sinel; members, Messrs. G. H. Boag. E. Marsden, S. E. Pilcher. I. H. Dixon; secretarytreasurer, Mr. S. J. Anton. Membership is open to all ex-members of D Battery, sth Battery, N.Z.F.A, (N.Z.E.F.), and sth (D) Battery N.Z.A. .(Territoi'ial Force). The purpose of the association^ is to foster comradeship, and help the present sth Battery and members going on active service. A concert will be held in Wellington on Saturday next when many old members will forgather from different parts of New Zealand.
