Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on Johnsonville % sale held yes-J terday ,as follows:—We offered a large J yarding of bullocks, a small yarding of cows and heifers, and a large yarding of vealers. All classes of bullocks showed a drop of fully 15s to £ 1 per head, .while cows and heifers showed little alteration. The quality of vealers : was not up. to the usual standard, and prices suffered, accordingly. No extra prime heavy wethers came forward," the pennirigs comprising chiefly light to medium weight wethers,' with a large yarding of hoggets. Prices for wethers were easier to the extent of 6d to Is per head on last week, while plain sorts were Is to Is 6d per head easier. With the exception of a few pens of ewes the yarding was of primeheavyweight quality. Prices for heavy ewes showed little alteration, while lightweight and unfinished sheep were down Is per head; and in some cases Is6d to 2s.
