HERETAUNGA CLUB

Eleven Heretaunga boats took part in the combined race for the Wilford Cup during the weekend. Tornado, Cygnet, and Rongomai were the first three boats home. Rongomai was the first boat through the gap, followed by Cygnet and Tornado, with Valhalla and Vanessa fighting it out for inside position. Ant's Pants and Valeta were together in the rear. Tornado passed Rongomai on the slog back to the club buoy and held her lead to the finishing line. She gained fastest time from Cygnet by only 35 seconds. On corrected times the placings were as follows; — Cygnet, 4h 6m 555; Tornado, 4h 7m 555; Lyric* 4h 8m ss; Rongomai, 4h 8m 455; Idle Along, 4h 9m 255; Valhalla, 4h 10m Os; Phantom, 4h 10m 15s; Valeta, 41i llm 20s; Mokihinui, 4h 12m ss; Vanessa, 4h 12m 555; Ant's Pants, 4h 14m 11s. .

Next Saturday a regatta will be held on Petone beach. Races which will be sailed during the afternoon.
