PRESIDENT URGES PEACE
(Received November 10, 11.15 a.m.) WASHINGTON, November 9.
President Roosevelt conferred for three hours with Mr. John L. Lewis, leader of the Committee for Industrial Organisation, and Mr. William Green, leader of the American Federation of Labour, requesting the C.1.0. and A.F.L. to resume their peace talks.
Last February Mr. Roosevelt asked the leaders of the rival labour organisations to appoint committees to negotiate for a peace agreement.
