The holding of a University degree, diploma, or teacher's certificate will be regarded as qualifications, as will also experience in social work amongst boys. . The successful applicant may be required to take up a position at any centre in New Zealand, but an appointee would probably be stationed at one of the larger centres. Duties include investigation of cases- of children and youths comiiig before the Courts; placement of boys and State wards in situations where necessary ancl their subsequent supervision. The appointee should have organising ability and should be prepared to undertake social constructive work amongst youth in the community. Further study of social welfare literature and the special legislation will be necessary to qualify for promotion. The appointment will be subject to the provisions of the various Acts and Regulations affecting the Public bervice CLOSING NOVEMBER 14, 1939.
