Reuters' Horta correspondent states that the American Clipper is believed to be down at sea, 100. miles west of the Azores. A Portuguese ship is going to her assistance.

The Clipper reported "0.X." at 7 p.n.., her position being 37deg 28m:n north latitude and 40deg 45min west longitude. She was due at Bermuda early on September 19.
