Profit of £115,504 disclosed by the Australian Guarantee Corporation, Ltd., for the year ended June 30 compares with £113,809 for the previous year. Profit on trading was £116,488," and dividends received amounted to £3003. The figures compare with £88,888 and £27.886 respectively for 1937-38. The directors report that the volume of business increased substantially, and the aggregate turnover was the largest in the company's history. During the year 50.000 £1 fully-paid ordinary shares in the Transport and General Insurance Company, Ltd., were acquired. The company began operations in December.
