PLUNKET DANCE
HELD AT RONGOTAI COLLEGE
Despite the disturbing overseas news, the Seatoun-Strathmore Plunket Cbnv mittee dance, which had been so keenly anticipated, was held on Saturday night and'was an unqualified success.
The formal garden decorations which transformed Rongotai College hall made an excellent setting for the evening's gaiety. Mrs. Bayldon Ewen, president, received the many parents and friends. Mrs. Harold Jowett, Welling-ton-president, was among the dancers.
Two graceful exhibition dances given * by Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Buckleton added to the j enjoyment, and much hilarity waS'Occasioned by "A Talk to Mothers," given by Mr. C. Morris in the role of a most unconventional Plunket nurse.
This Plunket dance has always been considered a social event in the eastern Suburbs, and although there had not been one for a year or two, such was the enthusiasm and enjoyment of the many present it is felt that in future it will be looked forward to as an annual event.
