GOLD DREDGING RETURNS.
(By Telegraph^Press Assopiatiou.) GREYMOUTH, September' 2. The Blackball Creek dredge returned 530z-for 104"s hours. ■ The Argo dredge return was 48oz for 130 hours from 13,000 yards. An award for electricSl workers (ship work) in the Wellington industrial district has been issued by Mr. J. A. Gilmour, S.M. Wages for journeymen electricians are fixed at 2s 9d an hour. The workers claimed an increase of |d an hour above the standard skilled rate to cover the cost of tools, but the Magistrate held that a case had" not been made out for the allowance. The award expires on December 19, 1940. E. Johnston and Co., auctioneers, will sell household furnishings at the residence, 20 Burnell Avenue (off Park Street) tomorrow at 12.30 p.m.
