Turpentine.—-50s a cwt (41s). SOUTHERN DAIRY PAYOUTS. A surplus of £32,585 is shown in the accounts for the Tai Tapu Co-opera-tive Dairy Company, Ltd., Canterbury, for the year ended July 31, 1939. The directors recommend a final payment of 24d per lb on the butterfat supplied, making a total payment for the finest grade for the year of Is 4Jd per lb. The final payment absorbs £29.879. The directors also recomrriend a dividend, at the rate of 6 per cent, per annum, absorbing £687. and a transfer to plant and buildings replacement reserve of £2019.
