"WILL BLOW UP RING"
HITLER'S MESSAGE TO ARMY

"The British Government has let its mask fall and has proclaimed war on a threadbare pretext," declared Herr Hitler in a message to the German Army on the western front. He proceeds: "Britain, driven on by those warmongers whom we knew in the last war, has done this despite the fact that Germany made no demands against any State to the west of the Reich, and despite Germany's offer. of cordial understanding, and even of friendship." Herr Hitler repeats the allegation that British protection led to Polish aggression. "I am determined to blow up this ring which has been laid round Germany," said the Fuhrer. Claiming the success of the army and air force against Polish attacks. Herr Hitler declare? that their eastern comrades expect the soldiers on the western front to protect the Reich. He refers to the Seigfried fortifications as a hundred times stronger than the western front in the Great War. which was never conquered. "If you clo your duty, the battle in the East will have reached a successful conclusion i» a few months.'' he said. <- '"Then the powrr of the whole Nazi Stale stands behind you. , y "I, as an old soldier of ihe World War, and your supreme commander, am going to the army in the East." , Herr Hitler concluded: "I know that God will favour us with victory, as right and justice are on our side."
